What's new...

I set this blog up last month with the intention of coming right back within a few days and posting, and here it is, almost a month later. I hope that I will get better!

Ella started pre-school in January. She is going two days a week and she is thoroughly loving it. Although she has been in trouble a few times, the teacher assures me that she is not the only one! We were worried there for a few days she might get kicked out! I was terrified because I am loving the free time. I can actually get somthing done now!

Where does she come up with some of the stuff she does and says? The answer is so obvious and right in front of us that we sometimes miss it... It is ALL our fault! She may act like she doesn't listen to us, but she really does! It is "selective hearing". I can't count how many times she has repeated something she has heard from us and yet Robert and I just stare at each other in disbelief. She is a hoot!

As you all know, my husband's given name is Robert and most of you call him that, but for the sake of my own sanity, I will be referring to him as Bobby when I post. All of his family calls him that and so do I. It is easier to just call him what I normally do. For everyone who knows him as Robert, you know who I am talking about now!

The weather has been so cold here for months and we all have had terrible cabin fever. The last three days have been gorgeous and we have taken full advantage of it. Both Saturday and Sunday afternoon were spent at the park. Ella LOVES it there and Bobby and I both enjoyed being outside for a change. Ella and I spent a couple of hours outside after lunch playing and she wants to go back out as soon as she gets up from her nap. I am ready for spring to officially get here. The cold weather has been miserable for us this year and we are tired of being cooped up inside.

We are getting ready to make a long trip to Texas next week. We are going out to see Bobby's parents and some of his sisters. We will stop over in Little Rock to see another sister and her family there. It has been over a year since we have seen anyone other than Mikki and we are very excited to be going. It's always nice to see everyone and Ella is thrilled to be going to Nana and Grammy's house!

  1. I love Ella's french braids! I haven't seen her hair down for awhile and didn't realize it had gotten so long. How did you get her to sit still?
