Trey certainly keeps all of us on our toes. Ella has taken to telling him NO and taking things he isn't supposed to have away. He is quick and sneaky! And the dog and cat food bowls are frequent pit stops of his. What is wrong with my kids? Ella ate cat food all the time as a baby.
Other than saying that Trey is nothing less than a miracle, I can't translate the feelings that we all hold for this little boy. He is charming, happy, Sweet, loving and laid back. He even has all of the animals under his spell. A smile from Trey is worth more than any amount of money.
At his 1 year well baby visit, he weighed 19 pounds and 9 ounces and was 28 1/2 inches tall. His height and weight are both on the percentage charts now. We were told that in many years of practice, the pediatrician had never seen a baby that was born so premature and stayed in the NICU turn out a year later to be as perfect as Trey is. He is healthy and hitting all of the regular milestones ahead of the curve. We know that there was a higher power that took care of this child of ours. But we also know that his Uncle Wade has been his Guardian Angel from the minute he was born and has been with him, looking out for him ever since. So thank you, Uncle Wade.
Here is the video of Trey's first year. Enjoy and count your blessings. We know that ours are abundant.

I always mean to blog and update everyone near and far as to our goings on, but as they say, the best laid plans...
The last few months have been crazy, nutty and filled with both good and bad times. We have survived ten weeks of Bobby being unemployed. But on Friday, he was offered a fantastic position with Akima Facilities Management whose corporate office is located in Charlotte, NC.We are excited about this new opportunity for Bobby and the kids' and me.
But this post is not about us. It is to celebrate Ella's 4th Year of life and let everyone see how much she has changed in the last year. Ella is still the light of our lives, as well as her on the go baby brother, Trey.
Ella's Favorite things these days:
Petey (our dog)
All 3 cats
Her very bestest friend in the whole world-Marissa
Aunt Kathy and Uncle Hector
Any and all things The Littlest Pet Shop
Poppy and Uncle Bubba
Make up and glitter (oh help me!)
As you can tell, Trey is her most favorite person or thing in the whole wide world!!! And she is his favorite. Ella is his hero and the sun rises and sets on her in his eyes.
We love you Ella Bella and May God continue to Bless you so richly. You will always be our Angel Pie.

Robert Lee Moore, III (Trey) arrived 6/25/2009- six weeks premature. He weighed in at 5 pounds 6 ounces and was 17 ½ inches long. He stayed in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for the first 8 days but he is home and doing fabulous now. He is very adored by Mamma, Daddy and big sister, Ella. She says that Trey-Trey is like having her very own doll to dress up.
The pregnancy was difficult and high risk from the onset, so it was a very long 8 months in this house. We are just very happy that everything worked out well and that we have two healthy, happy children. They are enough to keep us on our toes and in stitches at all times!
School started August 12th and Ella is attending 3 days a week this year. She loves school and gets upset on Tuesday and Thursday’s when she realizes she doesn’t go to school on those days. The only reason she doesn’t fuss on the weekends is because her Daddy is home and that is better than sliced bread to her. It is always a good day when Daddy doesn’t go to work!
A sample conversation with Ella: “Oh Ella, you sure do look beautiful. And your shirt is beautiful too.” She says, “Mamma! I may be beautiful, but my shirt is not. It is just very stylish.” Out of the mouth of babes!
Trey is now weighing in at 10 lbs 7 ozs (This is how much my husband weighed at BIRTH! His poor Mamma!) And is 21 ½ inches. He is smiling all the time and talking to us or his stuffed bear. It is the new version of Ella’s Bear-Bear. The replacements that we bought for her didn’t fool our daughter! So she took New Bear to the hospital to watch over “Bruds” when he was in the NICU. Now he talks to New Bear and sucks on him. He squealed/yelled last night for the first time and we all cracked up when he got a surprised look on his face!
When Trey was first born, he looked so much like Bobby and Ella. Now he looks so much like my younger brother did when he was a baby. I tell him all the time that he is his Uncle Joshua made over. And where Ella has big brown eyes, Trey’s are big blues! They haven’t started turning yet, so they may stay blue. Who knows though if they’ll stay that way? We just don’t know where the blue came from!
1. Never say never! When you are sleep deprived and so tired that your eyes are black and hollow, you will do almost anything to get a fussy baby to settle down and sleep.
2. If you do not want something repeated, DO NOT say anything in front of a 3 year old! They repeat everything, no matter what!
3. Showers/baths/bathroom time is sacred and no longer a privilege. If you get to bathe or any other grooming takes place, call the papers because a miracle has just occurred. And if you get to do any of these things without a small child in tow asking 5,000 questions, you had better stop whatever you are doing and go check on said small children because you can be assured that something is being destroyed. Whether it is chocolate syrup poured all over your beige carpet, air freshener sprayed on the bathroom mirror or a toilet that is now overflowing with Lord only knows what, some type of disaster is either taking place or about to. Head it off ASAP!
4. 8 hours of sleep is NEVER enough and you can’t “catch up” on it.
5. If you are a mother, you will never eat hot food again. You will also get used to cold coffee because it is the only way you ever get to drink it.
6. No matter how bad your ghetto apartment was or how poor you were in the beginning of your life as a couple, there are times when those simple, quiet days would be paradise now! But then a scream or crash erupts and you are transported from your ghetto reverie and are thrust back into the loud real world!
And isn’t that the world that we all love? The one where your kids, spouse, pets and most people in general can really grate your nerves? It is the best place to be! If you’ve never been there, I feel so sorry for you. Because there is absolutely nothing better than a precious child telling you that you are the bestest cook/hair fixer/teeth brusher ever. Or having that child light up a room when they see you and yell, “Mamma! I missed you so much!” Yes… in the arms and eyes of my children and husband, there is no better place on Earth! I am so blessed.

Ella started pre-school in January. She is going two days a week and she is thoroughly loving it. Although she has been in trouble a few times, the teacher assures me that she is not the only one! We were worried there for a few days she might get kicked out! I was terrified because I am loving the free time. I can actually get somthing done now!
Where does she come up with some of the stuff she does and says? The answer is so obvious and right in front of us that we sometimes miss it... It is ALL our fault! She may act like she doesn't listen to us, but she really does! It is "selective hearing". I can't count how many times she has repeated something she has heard from us and yet Robert and I just stare at each other in disbelief. She is a hoot!
As you all know, my husband's given name is Robert and most of you call him that, but for the sake of my own sanity, I will be referring to him as Bobby when I post. All of his family calls him that and so do I. It is easier to just call him what I normally do. For everyone who knows him as Robert, you know who I am talking about now!
The weather has been so cold here for months and we all have had terrible cabin fever. The last three days have been gorgeous and we have taken full advantage of it. Both Saturday and Sunday afternoon were spent at the park. Ella LOVES it there and Bobby and I both enjoyed being outside for a change. Ella and I spent a couple of hours outside after lunch playing and she wants to go back out as soon as she gets up from her nap. I am ready for spring to officially get here. The cold weather has been miserable for us this year and we are tired of being cooped up inside.
We are getting ready to make a long trip to Texas next week. We are going out to see Bobby's parents and some of his sisters. We will stop over in Little Rock to see another sister and her family there. It has been over a year since we have seen anyone other than Mikki and we are very excited to be going. It's always nice to see everyone and Ella is thrilled to be going to Nana and Grammy's house!

Since our family is so spread out, I thought this would be a good way to keep them and our friends up-to-date on the goings on of our life. Ella is almost 3 and all of Bobby's family and mine should be able to see her grow up. Right now, this is the best way to ensure that!
Stay tuned and I will post something very soon!
